Bill Byrne

Bill Byrne serves as a Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company since March 2023. Prior to this role, Byrne held significant positions within the United States Navy, including Director of Warfare Development at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, where strategic alignment with the National Defense Strategy was established. Byrne’s extensive experience also includes serving as Vice Director of The Joint Staff, where operational integration for military advice to the Secretary of Defense and the President was overseen, and as Commander of various Carrier Strike Groups, where leadership in training and operational execution was exemplified. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the United States Naval Academy and a Master of Arts in National Resource Strategy and Policy from the National Defense University.
