John Hill-Venning

John Hill-Venning is an accomplished Principal Hardware Test Engineer and Hardware Test Engineering Team Lead at McLaren Applied, with a career spanning over two decades in hardware test engineering. Since March 2008, John has been instrumental in developing and leading hardware test solutions across product development and production lifecycles, adapting test methodologies to meet the demands of automotive, aviation, hybrid, and electric vehicle systems. Prior to this role, John served as a Test Software Engineer at McLaren Electronic Systems, where the development of a proprietary functional test executive significantly enhanced testing reliability and efficiency. Additionally, John began their career as a Test Engineer at TAG Electronic Systems, gaining expertise in the service and repair of advanced motorsport electronics. John has pursued continuous education through various institutions, including the Defence Research Agency, edX, and The Open University.
