Ron Boring

Ron Boring serves as the Chief Operating Officer at McLeod Health since February 2011, leading a 7 acute care hospital system in North and South Carolina. In addition, Ron holds a position as an Associate Professor at the University of South Carolina, School of Medicine since 2016. Prior to McLeod Health, Ron was the President/CEO of Richardson Hospital Authority from September 1980 to December 2009, overseeing operations for Richardson Regional Medical Center and Baylor/Richardson Medical Center, and previously held several roles including VP Operations/COO, Director of Special Projects, and Director of Cardiopulmonary Services. Ron's academic achievements include a Doctorate in Health Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University, and an MBA with a focus on Management, Finance, and Accounting from Amberton University, complemented by a Bachelor’s in Allied Health Sciences from UT Southwestern Medical Center.
