Maya Thomas

Maya Thomas is currently serving as a Fundraising Coordinator for the Canadian Cancer Society, where involvement includes co-leading the McMaster Relay for Life executive team. Additionally, Maya holds a position as a MeduPromo Team Member with The Meducator and works as a Citizen Editor for eCOVID-19RecMap. Recent experience includes a summer position at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and a previous summer role at the CHEO Research Institute. Maya also participated in the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame program at the University of Ottawa in June 2022. Earlier work experience encompasses a role as a Backshop Employee at The Royal Ottawa Golf Club and a coaching position with the Ottawa City Soccer Club. Maya is pursuing a Bachelor of Health Sciences with Honours in Health, Engineering Science & Entrepreneurship at McMaster University, expected to graduate in April 2026, following the completion of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma from Nepean High School in June 2022.
