Senior Staff Scientist & Director Of The Comparative Genomics And Data Science Core at MDI Biological Laboratory

Joel Graber is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in computational biology and gene regulation. Currently serving as Senior Staff Scientist and Director of the Comparative Genomics and Data Science Core at MDI Biological Laboratory since May 2017, Joel previously held positions at The Jackson Laboratory, where roles included Senior Research Scientist and Associate Professor. Early in the career, Joel was a Research Assistant Professor at Boston University. The research group focuses on gene regulatory interactions, post-transcriptional mRNA processing, and comparative genome organization, particularly in mice and other mammals. Joel Graber earned a PhD in Physics from Cornell University and holds dual BS degrees in Physics and Computer Science from Michigan Technological University.
