Jayvee Abella

Jayvee Abella is a Principal Data Scientist at Medefy Health since July 2024, with previous experience as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Rockwell Automation and a Senior Data Scientist/ML Engineer at Mercury Data Science. Jayvee has a strong background in computational modeling and simulation, having worked as an Associate Researcher at Medical Informatics Corp and as a Graduate Research Assistant during PhD studies at Rice University, where a focus was on peptide-MHC complexes. Additional roles include a NLM Predoc Training Fellow, Engineering Tutor, and multiple undergraduate research assistant positions, showcasing expertise in algorithms and data analysis across fields. Jayvee holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Rice University, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
