Despina Dalton

Despina ("Debi") Dalton, MD, MBA, CPE, RPh, FAAP, FACHE, serves as the Vice President of Medical Affairs at Wellstar Douglas Hospital since June 2015 and has been the Chair of the Georgia Composite Medical Board since July 2021. Additionally, Dalton holds the position of Secretary at the Medical Association of Georgia since October 2017 and is a graduate of the Georgia Physician Leadership Academy. Previous roles include Medical Director of Pediatric ED at ApolloMD for Wellstar Cobb and Paulding Hospitals from January 2001 to January 2015, Past President of the Cobb County Medical Society in 2014, and Past President of the Medical Staff at Wellstar Cobb Hospital from July 2011 to June 2013. Academic credentials include a Healthcare MBA from The George Washington University and a medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, complemented by a BS in Pharmacy from Long Island University.
