Duncan Promnitz

Duncan Promnitz is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and information technology leadership. Currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Medici since December 2023, Duncan previously held significant roles at Absa Group, including Chief Information Officer for Non-Banking Financial Services and Investment Management. Duncan's career spans several leadership positions in various companies, including Chief Information Officer at INET BFA (now IRESS SA) and I-Net Bridge, where responsibilities ranged from architecture consolidation to system stabilization. Duncan's earlier experience includes development management and systems development roles at TradeWorld and Online Marketing. Academically, Duncan holds a BSc Honours in Information Systems and a BSc in Computer Science and Information Technology Management from the University of South Africa, alongside a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer qualification.
