Mark Pinches

Mark Pinches currently serves as the Head of Informatics at Medicines Discovery Catapult, where leadership of an exceptional team aims to establish the catapult as a national benchmark in informatics for life sciences and drug discovery through AI solutions. Previously, Mark held the position of Lead Data Scientist at Capgemini's AI Centre of Excellence, focusing on AI and machine learning solutions for multinational corporations. As Vice President of Data Science Innovation and Data Monetisation at Barclays, Mark led the data strategy for the corporate bank. Mark's earlier roles include Senior Principal Scientist and Co-Director of Science at Lhasa Limited, and Principal Scientist at AstraZeneca, where Mark contributed to drug assessment and biomarker development. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Westcoast Diagnostics and working as a veterinary officer for Defra and PDSA. Mark's educational background includes multiple degrees in veterinary science and clinical pathology from notable institutions.
