Alice Bakker

Alice Bakker is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in biopharmaceutical research and development. Currently serving as Principal Scientist at Medikine, Inc. since February 2018, Alice focuses on discovering novel agonists for cytokine receptors using a proprietary peptide platform. Previously, Alice held the position of Principal Scientist at Amgen from September 2003 to January 2018, where responsibilities included leading efforts in protein technologies and developing outsourcing solutions. Earlier experience includes serving as Scientist III at Avidia, where Alice established a therapeutic discovery pipeline, and as Senior Scientist at Affymax, leading drug discovery teams. Alice began a career at Pfizer, progressing through various roles in the Analytical R&D department. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Connecticut College, obtained in 1982.
