Samantha Reed

System Administrator, Orthopedic & Neuroscience Services at Memorial Health

Samantha Reed is the system administrator of Orthopedic and Neuroscience Services. In this role, she has leadership and accountability for planning, directing and coordinating all orthopedic and neuroscience initiatives across Memorial Health. Reed also provides administrative oversight for Rehabilitation Services, the Memorial Transplant Program and the Acute Dialysis and Apheresis Unit.

Reed earned a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of Iowa in 2008 and a master of healthcare administration degree from the University of Iowa College of Public Health in 2010. She joined Memorial in 2010 as an Administrative Fellow and then transitioned into Operations Improvement, where she earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Reed took on additional responsibility in 2014 as the Director of Nursing Operations Improvement and Memorial Access until she joined the system leadership team in her current role in June 2019.

Reed is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on the Western Regional Leadership Board for the American Cancer Society. She is also an active member of Illinois Women in Leadership and Springfield’s Young Philanthropists.
