Neeraj Kumar

Neeraj Kumar, Ph.D., currently serves as a Machine Learning Scientist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Previously, Neeraj was a Machine Learning Educator at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute, focusing on content and curriculum development, including an MLOps course. Neeraj has extensive research experience, having held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Alberta, where collaborations led to machine learning algorithms for personalized survival prediction, and at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where a dataset of annotated cancer nuclei was created. Neeraj co-founded Pathomica, leading efforts in digital healthcare and obtaining a patent for a novel machine learning approach. Neeraj holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning and Image Processing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, along with a BTech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Guru Nanak Dev University.
