Sophia K.

Sophia K. is a dedicated Care Coordinator at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center since April 2024, facilitating communication between patients, families, and clinical teams during office visits. In addition, Sophia has been providing Birth Assistant and Doula services at Brooklyn Homebirth Midwifery since September 2023, ensuring the well-being of laboring persons and newborns. Previous experience includes serving as a Patient Ambassador at Saint Barnabas Health System and a Postgraduate Research Associate at Yale University School of Medicine. Furthermore, Sophia held research positions at the Conceptual Development Lab and the University of Michigan, where important studies on moral judgments and sexual health outcomes were conducted. Leadership roles include I-LEAD President at Michigan Hillel and President of the Shulchan Ivrit Hebrew Speaking Club. Sophia earned a Bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Science, with minors in Gender and Health and Biochemistry, from the University of Michigan, complemented by international educational experiences.
