Farris Blount III

Farris Blount III serves as an Assistant Professor of Theology at Memphis Theological Seminary since August 2022 and is currently a PhD candidate at Boston University School of Theology. Blount's prior experience includes positions as a Westly Prize Fellow at the Westly Foundation, where over 30 candidates were recruited for a social entrepreneurship grant, and as a Research Assistant at Stanford Graduate School of Business, contributing to course development in philanthropy. Additional roles include participation in the Management Leadership for Tomorrow career development program, an internship as a Business Analyst at Target, and a BEL Program externship at Bain & Company. Blount has also served as a Residential Teaching Assistant at the LEAD Summer Business Institute at Stanford University and interned at McConnell Jones Lanier & Murphy LLP. Academic credentials consist of a Doctor of Philosophy in Practical Theology from Boston University, a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University.
