Ashley Osborne is a Malaria Molecular Epidemiologist at Menzies School of Health Research, specializing in the development of innovative molecular surveillance tools for Plasmodium vivax infections and collaborating with endemic-country partners to establish molecular surveillance programs. Previously, Ashley held positions as a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, focusing on malaria genomics and functional molecular biology, and as an Academic Tutor for a master's degree module in viral infections. Early career experiences include serving as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Reading and a Peer Tutor at Unity College. Ashley's educational background features two PhDs in Global Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Nagasaki University, along with a Master of Science in Infectious Diseases from the University of Kent and a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Reading.
