Ery Setiawan

Ery Setiawan is a PhD candidate specializing in Health Economics at Menzies School of Health Research since September 2021, focusing on productivity losses valuation in low- and middle-income countries. Concurrently, Ery serves as a lecturer in Public Health at the University of Indonesia, teaching courses on health systems and health economics. Ery's professional experience includes roles as a Health Financing Specialist and Health Economist at ThinkWell, where contributions were made to the National Social Security Council (DJSN) in Indonesia regarding health insurance implementation. Previous positions involve advising on health financing policies for the Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Pembangunan Manusia dan Kebudayaan and leading health financing programs at Palladium. Ery's earlier experiences include significant health economics roles with established organizations like the World Bank and NHIServices, emphasizing TB program efficiency and social health insurance rollout in Indonesia. Ery holds a Doctor's degree in Health Economics from Charles Darwin University, a Master's in Public Policy, and a Bachelor's in Public Health, both from the University of Indonesia.
