Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. (MBUSI) is the production location for the GLE-, GLS- and the GLE Coupe Sport Utility Vehicles, as well as the C-Class sedan. In 2018, the plant produced more than 235,000 vehicles and our plant has built more than 3 million vehicles in its nearly 20+ years of production in the State of Alabama. In September 2017, Mercedes-Benz Cars announced plans to expand its production footprint in Alabama and the United States with a $1 billion investment for our second campus. The expansion includes construction of a new battery plant to prepare the plant to build electric vehicles at the beginning of the next decade.  MBUSI currently employs more than 3,700 Team Members.

The Project Management and Coordination Team at Mercedes-Benz U.S. International oversees the planning, execution, and completion of key projects, particularly those related to plant operations and expansions. This includes the rollout of the new battery plant and electric vehicle manufacturing. They ensure seamless coordination between international and local operations, manage relationships with IT and business stakeholders, and align resources for successful project ramp-ups and custom vehicle productions.
