Derrick B. Farmer

Derrick B. Farmer, PMP, LSSBB, COL (USA Ret.) is an accomplished program manager with extensive experience in both the military and corporate sectors. Currently serving as Program Manager (Software) at Mercer Engineering Research Center since June 2021, Derrick previously held senior program management positions at Blue Bird Corporation and Parsons Corporation. Derrick's military background includes significant leadership roles, such as Director of Training, Exercises, and Security Cooperation for the US Army, where management of multi-million dollar training contracts and program portfolios was crucial. Derrick holds multiple degrees, including an M.S. in Strategic Studies from the US Air Force War College and an MBA in Aviation, showcasing a robust academic foundation complemented by certifications in project management and lean six sigma methodologies.
