Laurence Thimon

Laurence Thimon is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the IT SAP Solution Owner for Distribution Trade and Compliance at Merck Group since January 2013. Prior roles include Head of IT ERP Distribution Deployment and SAP TM Senior Functional Analyst, where Laurence led the implementation of transportation management systems across global companies, including participation in significant go-live events. From November 2016 to October 2024, Laurence held the position of Senior Manager IT Transport & Dangerous Goods at Sigma-Aldrich, leading international teams for SAP TM implementation in EMEA countries. Laurence’s career at Sigma-Aldrich began in 1994, where roles included SAP BI Supervisor and Senior SAP BI Consultant. Laurence holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
