Saverio Ortizzo

Saverio Ortizzo is an accomplished cybersecurity leader with extensive experience in IT risk management and security. Currently serving as the AVP of IT Risk Management & Security at Merck since June 2008, Saverio has held multiple key positions including Executive Director of IT Risk Management & Cybersecurity and Director of Cybersecurity Intelligence & Response. Expertise includes incident response, threat intelligence, vulnerability management, eDiscovery, forensics, data loss prevention, threat defense operations, and overseeing a Cyber Fusion Center. Prior experience includes roles at Organon USA as Associate Director of Information Risk Management & Compliance, PSE&G as Sr. Systems Specialist, and The Multicare Companies as Lead IT Consultant. Saverio holds a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree from Montclair State University.
