Nicolas Alaerts

Nicolas Alaerts serves as the Global Practice Head of Leadership Advisory at Mercuri Urval since October 2013, focusing on revenue growth, service alignment with market needs, and client relationship enhancement. As a Partner at a foundation-owned company, Nicolas has contributed to establishing a partnership model with over 60 equity partners from various countries. Experience includes roles such as Practice Lead for Belgium’s Automotive & Mobility sectors, Transformation Programme Director, and Consultant to Group Director, with a strong track record in industrial sectors and professional services. Additionally, Nicolas teaches Leadership & Organisational Design in the Postgraduate HR Management program at Hogeschool PXL and has served on the board of BNKS VZW. Previous roles include Executive Search Consultant at Enginium Group and a Consultant Internship at Kluwer Opleidingen. Nicolas holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from KU Leuven and has pursued further education in Business Economics and management programs at Solvay Brussels School and Vlerick Business School.
