Filip Černý

Filip Černý is an experienced humanitarian professional currently serving as the Food Security & Livelihood Sector Co-Coordinator for Mercy Corps in Syria since June 2024, where the role involves co-leading the Food Security Cluster to enhance the effectiveness of food security responses in a complex humanitarian crisis. Previous positions include the NES Food Security Livelihoods Working Group Coordinator at Concern Worldwide, Senior Strategic Development Manager at arche noVa, Head of Programmes at arche noVa, Programme Manager at Relief International, and Project Manager at the Representative of Nineveh Voluntary for IDPs. Filip holds a Master of Science in Disaster Risk Management and Climate Change Adaptation from Lund University and has acquired significant expertise in project management, stakeholder coordination, and strategic development across various sectors, particularly in food security, livelihoods, and WASH.
