Solomon Kassa

Solomon Kassa is an experienced professional currently serving as the Security and Safety Manager at Mercy Corps, since October 2022, where responsibilities include policy analysis and strategic planning support focused on humanitarian operations, alongside delivering security research reports and briefing papers. Solomon has also been a Security Analyst for USAID/Partner Liaison Security Operations in Ethiopia since November 2020, providing crucial security threat information and fact-checking research reports on the political dynamics of Ethiopia and the Horn of Africa. Prior to these roles, Solomon held lecturer positions at Bahir Dar University and the University of Gondar from October 2016 to November 2020, engaging in both teaching and research. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Political Science from Bahir Dar University and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and International Relations from Addis Ababa University.
