Brian Shapella

Brian Shapella possesses extensive experience in the engineering and management sectors, particularly in the gas and chemical industries. As the Director of Customer Engineering Services at Messer Americas since August 2015, Brian oversees a team of 115 professionals responsible for the installation and maintenance of bulk cryogenic tanks across North America and beyond. Prior to this role, Brian spent 14 years at Air Products and Chemicals, advancing through various positions including Business Continuous Improvement Manager for the Global Helium product line, where responsibility included driving productivity and managing a project pipeline exceeding $5 million. Brian's earlier roles at Air Products involved significant contributions to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects. Academically, Brian holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College and a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University.
