Aravindan Vijayan

Aravindan Vijayan is an experienced software engineer currently working as a Member Of Technical Staff at Chronosphere since June 2022, focusing on the streaming aggregation layer. Prior to this, Aravindan served as an Engineering Manager and Staff Software Engineer at Cloudera, where responsibilities included leading the development and scaling of Apache Ozone. Involvement with The Apache Software Foundation includes roles such as PMC for Apache Ozone and Committer for Apache Ratis and Ambari. Aravindan's previous experience also encompasses positions at Hortonworks, Oracle, and several internships, where expertise ranged from building Anomaly Detection Systems to backend infrastructure in IT Analytics. Aravindan holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University and has completed coursework in Data Mining at Stanford University. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science was obtained from Anna University, Chennai.
