Kalyan Saladi

Kalyan Saladi is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in large-scale systems and AI infrastructure. Currently at Meta since 2015, Kalyan is involved with the AI-RSC project, focusing on the reliability and performance of large-scale AI training infrastructure and leads efforts in FBLearner Flow for orchestration and scheduling. Prior experience includes a tenure at VMware from 2011 to 2015 as a Staff Engineer-II, where Kalyan contributed to the Cluster Scheduler and DRS with a focus on scalability and network-congestion aware VM placement. Kalyan’s career began at Synopsys Inc from 1999 to 2011 as a Senior Staff R&D Engineer/Lead, working on an event-driven HDL simulator across various technical domains. Kalyan holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and a degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
