Seth van Liew

Seth Van Liew is a seasoned machine learning engineer currently employed at Meta since December 2024. Previously, Seth served as Principal AI Scientist and Manager at Systems & Technology Research from August 2020 to July 2024, and as Principal Machine Intelligence Scientist at Draper from June 2017 to August 2020. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Scientist at Passport Systems (June 2015 - June 2017), Research Scientist at American Science & Engineering, Inc. (March 2010 - June 2015), and Medical Physicist at Massachusetts General Hospital in conjunction with teaching as an Instructor at Harvard Medical School (October 2007 - March 2010). Seth holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Washington, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Mathematics from the University of California, Riverside.
