Darren Hunter

Darren "Dario" Hunter is an experienced professional with a diverse background in analytical linguistics, education, and program development. Currently serving as an Analytical Linguist-Team Leader at Metlang since August 2020, and a substitute teacher for the West Ada School District since October 2019, Darren has a strong foundation in community engagement and education. Previously, Darren worked as a Program Specialist for Alameda County for 25 years, focusing on health disparity programs and facilitating solutions within high-risk communities. Noteworthy projects included Safe Routes to School and Healthy Living Councils. Additionally, Darren held leadership roles in youth sports, directed the Junior Warriors Basketball League, and contributed to research as a Store Intercept and On-Site Survey Taker. An adept bilingual communicator, Darren has been recognized for empowering community members and delivering culturally appropriate programs, demonstrating a commitment to social impact and community partnership throughout a lengthy career.
