Steven Hobbs

Steven Hobbs is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in public policy and strategic leadership. Currently serving as Chief of Staff at Metrolinx since July 2019, Steven has previously held significant roles including Director of Policy & Strategy. Prior roles include Vice President of Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement at the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships, where Steven was instrumental in strategic planning and stakeholder outreach. Steven's government experience encompasses positions such as Chief of Staff and Director of Policy at Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada, and Policy Advisor at Transport and Infrastructure Canada, focusing on marine transportation and Aboriginal issues. Academic credentials include a Master of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Calgary and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Economics from Lakehead University.
