Asta Ervola

Asta Ervola is an experienced environmental specialist with a strong background in carbon trading and ecological compensation, currently working at Metsähallitus since August 2019. Previous roles include freelance writing and environmental consultancy, with a focus on environmental guidelines and ISO 14001 certification. Asta has held positions at organizations such as the Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Finnish Forest Research Institute, and University of Helsinki, contributing to climate emission reports, international climate policy, and sustainable agriculture research. Asta holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Economics from the University of Helsinki and has also studied at Universitat Politècnica de València.
