Heikki Laurila

Heikki Laurila has an extensive career in the mineral processing industry, currently serving as a retired professional after most recently holding the position of Senior Director of Solution Sales at Metso Outotec from July 2020 to September 2024. Previously, Laurila contributed to Outotec in various capacities, including Concentrator Business Development in the Americas and Vice President of R&D for Non Ferrous Solutions. A rich background includes leadership roles at Hatch and Outokumpu Technology, where Laurila was Vice President for R&D & Business Development and managed significant projects in minerals processing. Laurila began the career in 1990 as Plant Manager at FinnMinerals Oy, overseeing a talc concentrator and micronizing plant, and holds a Master's degree in Mineral Processing from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, completed in 1984.
