Janne Virtala

Janne Virtala is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in logistics and process management across various leading companies. Currently serving as Process Owner for Standard and Complex Logistics at Metso, Janne focuses on enhancing sustainability and efficiency within the aggregates, minerals processing, and metals refining sectors. Previously, at Neste, Janne excelled as Performance Manager and Global Process Owner, leading the development of non-bulk logistics capabilities for renewable products. Janne's earlier roles at Posti Group Oyj and Itella Posti Oy included product management and development management in parcel services and logistics, emphasizing eCommerce innovations. Janne's foundation in technology and education is supported by a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from LUT University and a Master's in Education from the University of Turku. Professional military experience includes participation in UN peacekeeping missions.
