Thomas Smith

Thomas Smith is an incoming Fixed Income Research Associate at MFS Investment Management, set to begin in October 2024. Thomas has held leadership positions in the BU Finance & Investment Club, serving as Chief Risk Officer and Investment Board Member, overseeing a $1.3 million equity portfolio while also achieving recognition in stock pitch competitions. Internships include roles at Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, and Inverewe Capital, focusing on private equity, energy, and global macro investments. Research contributions at the Questrom School of Business involved studying corporate ESG behavior. Thomas is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration at Boston University, expected to graduate in December 2024, following a high school diploma from Portsmouth Abbey School.
