Nan Asher is an experienced professional in the field of hearing and assistive technology. As a Program Consultant with the Michigan Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Program since March 2011, Nan has focused on provider education and successfully reduced lost to follow-up rates in Wayne County. In addition, Asher serves as Treasurer for the Michigan Coalition for Deaf, Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind People, supporting a network of approximately 25 organizations. Previous roles include Past President of the Michigan Coalition for Deaf and Hard of Hearing People and Executive Director of the Michigan Association for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Asher's extensive background includes leadership in advocacy, education, and service for the Deaf and hard of hearing community, alongside managerial positions in various organizations, and a strong educational foundation with a Master's degree in Hearing/Assistive Technology.
