Brian Pyles

Brian Pyles currently serves as the State Director of Career and Technical Education for the State of Michigan since April 2018. Prior to this role, Pyles worked as an Education Consultant from July 2016 to March 2018, and held the position of Regional Director of Career and Technical Education at Berrien RESA from July 2010 to June 2016. Earlier experience includes serving as Career and Technical Education Director at Shiawassee RESD from June 2001 to June 2010, and as a Marketing Education Instructor at Niles Community Schools from August 1991 to June 2001. Brian Pyles holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University, earned between 2001 and 2007, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University from 1992 to 1994, and a Bachelor of Business Education with a focus on Marketing Education from Eastern Michigan University from 1987 to 1990.
