Michael Bannasch

Michael R. Bannasch, CPA, MST, currently serves as the State and Local Tax Practice Leader at RKL LLP since March 2021, overseeing the quality of SALT work and driving the growth of the practice through various consulting projects. Prior to this role, Michael was a Senior Manager at Rehmann from November 2015 to December 2020, where focus areas included state and local tax matters across multiple states. Michael's experience also includes a Tax Manager position at Willis & Jurasek, P.C. and co-owning Poleski & Bannasch, CPAs, PLLC. Michael’s career began at Lally, Cummings, Palmer & Patch, P.C. as a Staff Accountant. Michael holds a Master of Science in Taxation from Grand Valley State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Business Administration from Spring Arbor University.
