Carly Watson

Carly Watson serves as the Director of Debate at Michigan State University, overseeing the MSU Debate Program and implementing operational efficiencies that led to a 25% reduction in travel expenditures. With extensive experience in educational administration, Carly has successfully increased revenue for the Spartan Debate Institute amid a transition to online instruction and has fostered collaboration within a team of over twenty students and staff. Carly's previous roles include Program & Events Coordinator and Teaching Faculty for the Spartan Debate Institute, as well as Assistant Debate Coach at Gonzaga University, where the focus was on original research and student development in public policy debates. Carly holds a Master of Arts in Strategic Communications and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, both from Michigan State University.
