David Elwell

David Elwell is an Associate Professor at the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University, where involvement includes serving as Faculty Fellow of the Williams Learning Society since June 2020. With extensive experience in emergency medicine, David Elwell has been providing medical care as an Emergency Medicine Physician with the EPMG-Emergency Physicians Medical Group since July 2014, and previously served as Medical Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital from August 2014 to October 2015. David Elwell also holds the position of President at Port City Smokehouse, a family-owned business in Frankfort, Michigan, specializing in local cuisine since May 2007. Prior experience includes serving as Emergency Medicine Physician and Associate Medical Director for Emergency Services at Central Michigan Emergency Physicians from October 2003 to August 2014. Educational qualifications include a BA in PsychoBiology from Yale University and an MD from Wayne State University School of Medicine.
