Helen Mach

Helen Mach, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Michigan State University, where research studies focus on third-party disability and burden among care partners of individuals with communication disabilities related to Parkinson's disease. Previously, Helen held the position of Senior Research Associate at the Center for Policing Equity, leading evaluations aimed at reducing racial disparities in policing. Prior roles include serving as a Research Scientist and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Delaware, contributing to NIH-funded clinical trials and mentoring graduate students. Helen has experience in various health-related organizations, providing speech and language services and managing educational programs, supported by a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Washington and additional degrees in Speech-Language Pathology and Human Development.
