Joseph Nichols

Joseph Nichols is an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology since January 2020, where also serves as Program Manager for MSU Drug Discovery and Project Manager. Joseph has experience as an Editor and Consultant with Guidepoint since 2018. Previous positions include Scientist III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, Researcher/Consulting Scientist at The Scripps Research Institute, and Scientist at Synthorx Inc. Joseph was a Postdoctoral Researcher and Visiting Graduate Student at UCSD, and a Research Associate at the University of Michigan, focusing on developing therapeutics for cocaine toxicity. Prior experience includes a Research Associate role at Amgen. Joseph holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Michigan, a Master's degree in Genetics and Cell Biology from Washington State University, and a BA in Biology from Albion College.
