Pat McKernan

Ms. McKernan contributes to the management, planning and execution of non-clinical studies, clinical supply manufacturing campaigns, and clinical trials for Microbion's products. Formerly she was a Research Director at ZymoGenetics where she led innovative research programs including conception and selection of strategies, building and motivation of multi-disciplinary teams, and the development and management of pharmaceutical research projects.

Ms. McKernan has extensive experience in development of technology programs to support discovery and characterization of protein, antibody, natural product and small molecule therapeutic candidates and new therapeutic target validation. Prior to her work at ZymoGenetics, she held a departmental management position at the Nucleic Acid Research Institute and a research scientist position at Roswell Park Cancer Center. Ms. McKernan has a B.S. in Biochemistry from Daemen College and a certificate in Biotechnology Project Management from University of Washington and University of California, San Diego.
