Paul Hoskisson

Paul Hoskisson currently holds the position of Royal Academy of Engineering Research Chair in Engineering Biology and serves as a Professor of Molecular Microbiology at the University of Strathclyde, where Paul has worked since 2007. Hoskisson has previously held roles including Reader and Senior Lecturer in Microbiology at the same institution, as well as Chief Scientific Advisor at Microplate Dx Limited since April 2021. Prior work experience includes a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Aberdeen focusing on bacteriophage resistance systems in Streptomyces and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the John Innes Centre, where research centered on identifying novel developmental genes in Streptomyces. Early career experience includes a position as Validation & Development Scientist at Medeva, contributing to the development of the influenza vaccine (Flumist) and validation of clinical trials production facilities.
