Tal Yarkoni

Tal Yarkoni is a Research Scientist at Midjourney since December 2024, previously serving as a Staff Research Scientist at X, the moonshot factory from July 2023 to December 2024, and as a Staff Data Scientist at Twitter from June 2021 to January 2023. Yarkoni's extensive experience includes developing metrics for push notifications, building A/B test dashboards, and conducting deep dive analyses, alongside providing statistics consulting to software engineers. Prior to industry roles, Yarkoni was a Senior Data Scientist and Research Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, where a NIH-funded research group was directed, resulting in over 60 publications with significant citations. Educational background includes a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Carleton University.
