Carmelo Bellia

Carmelo Bellia is a highly experienced technical director at Mineral Resources Limited, specializing in water and geotechnical management within the iron ore sector. With a career spanning over two decades, Carmelo has held key roles at BHP, overseeing various maintenance and project improvement initiatives, as well as leading hydrogeology and geotechnics teams. Prior to this, Carmelo was a principal consultant at CBConsulting and served as a chief consultant for hydrogeological issues in the Province of Catania. Academic qualifications include an honours degree in Geology from the University of Catania, a post-doctoral research fellowship from the Geological Survey of Japan, and a PhD in Hydrogeology and Environmental Geophysics from The University of Western Australia.
