Mezna Almarzooqi

Mezna AlMarzooqi, PhD, MPH, currently serves as the Director General of the Leaders Development Institute at the Ministry of Sport in Saudi Arabia, focusing on advancing the country's sports capabilities. In addition to this role, Mezna is a Senior Research Advisor at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, leading initiatives to reduce noncommunicable diseases through physical activity promotion. Mezna holds several advisory and leadership positions, including membership on the UNESCO Chair Advisory Committee and the Culture, Entertainment, and Sport Sector Skills Council in KSA. With a rich academic background, including a PhD from the University of Adelaide and extensive teaching experience at King Saud University, Mezna has contributed significantly to public health and sports education through research, curriculum development, and academic leadership.
