Tarek Tomes

Tarek Tomes is an experienced technology executive with a strong background in information systems and innovation. Currently serving as the Chief Information Officer for the State of Minnesota since May 2019, Tarek previously held the position of Chief Innovation Officer and Chief Information Officer for the City of Saint Paul from February 2014 to May 2019. Tarek's career also includes leadership roles such as Assistant Commissioner for Customer and Service Management at the Office of Enterprise Technology and Global Managed Services Owner at British Telecom. Prior experience includes managerial responsibilities in systems engineering at STS GmbH. Tarek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Maryland and has further education from Boston University.
