Helen McCarthy

Helen McCarthy is an experienced communications professional currently serving as a Director at Mission Control Communications (MC2) since February 2024. McCarthy is also a member of the Washington Women in Public Relations, participating in the Professional Development Committee. Previously, McCarthy held director and senior account management roles at Trident DMG and worked at Weber Shandwick where responsibilities included drafting press releases and conducting media outreach. Early career experiences include a Junior Sailing Instructor at the San Diego Yacht Club, a Resident Assistant at Duke University, and a Legislative Intern with the U.S. House of Representatives. McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Earth and Ocean Sciences from Duke University and another Bachelor of Arts from the University of Glasgow.
