Roci Catzalco was born in Puebla, Mexico and has lived most of her life in San Francisco. Her commitment is to nurture children and give them hands-on and creative experiences in nature and for each individual child to learn how to communicate in an effective way. She is Spanish/English bilingual and loves to share the differences and similarities in cultures of the world.
She is a widower who raised two nieces who are now in their late thirties. She has been a preschool assistant and teacher for forty-five years with experiences including working with migrant and refugee children, special education, public, nonprofit, and private children centers. She enjoys listening and talking to children. She loves telling flannel board stories, doing art activities, gardening, and teaching about nature. Her hobbies include traveling, quilting, gardening, and learning about various cultures.
