Shrikant Sharma

Shrikant Sharma is a skilled NMR spectroscopist and structural biologist with extensive experience in RNA structural biology and biophysical methods. Currently, Shrikant serves as the NMR Facility Manager at Mississippi State University since September 2024 and previously held the position of Senior Scientist at Expansion Therapeutics from May 2022 to October 2024, focusing on the structural characterization of disease-related RNAs involved in neurological disorders. Shrikant's postdoctoral research at the University of Washington involved 3D NMR structural characterization of RNA elements in flaviviruses, while prior positions included studies on a human missense mutant linked to infantile cataract and islet amyloid polypeptide at various esteemed institutions. Shrikant holds a PhD in Biomolecular Solution NMR from CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute and degrees in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance and Pharmacy.
