Nicholas Cole has extensive experience in research and academia. Nicholas started their career in 1999 as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of St Andrews. Nicholas then worked as a Research Fellow at the University of Dundee and later became a Senior Research Fellow at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. In 2008, they joined the University of Sydney as a Principle Investigator, where they focused on academic research, teaching, and public communication. In 2013, they moved to Macquarie University, where they held the position of Research Group Leader and Member of the Senior Executive Group at the Macquarie University Research Centre. Nicholas was also a Principal Investigator and Senior Lecturer at the Motor Neuron Disease Research Centre. Most recently, they became the Head of Research at the Motor Neurone Disease Association in 2018.
Nicholas Cole obtained a Ph.D in Scientific Research from the University of St Andrews, where they studied from 1993 to 1998. Additionally, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Muscle Physiology and Development at the same university, although the specific dates of this program were not provided.
